Celebrating our Hundredth Birthday!

In June 2016, Altamont Free Library will celebrate our 100th year of service to the Village of Altamont and the surrounding area! To celebrate, we’ll be holding events all year long to celebrate this phenomenal milestone. There are lots of ways you can participate in our celebrations, from collecting 100 cans of food for the Altamont Food Pantry to pledging to read 100 books in 2016.

One important way to share in this milestone is to contribute to the Altamont Free Library Centennial Fund. We’re looking for 100 donors (or more!) to donate $100 dollars to ensure that the Library will continue to thrive at the heart of the Altamont Community during the next hundred years. Donors who choose to be identified will be acknowledged here as well as on a display in the Library’s entryway. Contributors to the Centennial Fund will also be invited to a special party this summer at the stunning Breitenbach Castle in Altamont. Donations may also be made anonymously or in honor of a loved one. To donate, please click on the this link to download the Centennial Pledge Card . You can also donate online through our NY Charities portal.
