Policy

The purpose of the display case in the Altamont Free Library is to educate and entertain visitors to the Library and to provide an opportunity for local groups or individuals to share their interests, hobbies or activities.

Procedure

Individuals and groups wishing to exhibit should apply at the Library. The exhibits change regularly, and will be scheduled in the order they are approved.

Restrictions

1. The display case shall not be used to promote partisan political, sectarian religious, or commercial interests.
2. The Director may reject a display based on their discretion.
3. If artworks or other displayed items are for sale, persons may show artwork or crafts with their contact information but without prices listed. The Library cannot arrange, conduct, or be party to sales, except by the provision of contact information between parties.
4. The Library does not hold insurance which shall protect displayed items from theft or damage and shall not be held liable.
5. A copy of this policy will be provided to all donors of displayed materials.
