BOARD OF TRUSTEES

In Person MEETING

June 17, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.

Present: Joseph Burke (Director), Christine Carpenter (Vice President), Tracy Mayer (Treasurer), Paul Scilipoti (Asst. Treasurer), Katherine Nelson (Secretary), Rebecca Stumpf

Absent: Rachel Lane, Jeff Perlee, Raelee Grimm, Paul Scilipoti, Katie Barker

1. The meeting was called to order by Christine Carpenter at 6:36 pm. Since so many board members are absent tonight, this meeting will be informational only, with notes taken to reflect our conversation. The Policy and By-Law Committee will consider how to more clearly define the quorum requirements.

2. Public Comment Period
No public comment.

3. Additions to the June 2024 agenda
None.

4. Review and acceptance of minutes of May 20, 2024 meeting
Postponed to next meeting when more members will be present.

5. Treasurer’s Report
Tracy Mayer shared the report; motion to approve postponed to next meeting when more members will be present.

6. Director’s Report
Joe Burke shared the Director’s Report for June 2024.

7. Committee Reports

a. Building: Nothing to report.

b. Finance: Nothing to report.

c. Sustainability: Nothing to report.

d. Communications & Engagement: Nothing to report. Planning to meet in July.

e. Gala & Events: See Director’s Report.

f. Personnel:

i. Library Assistant Vacancy - Joe has found more help and is in the process of setting up training.

g. Policy: Postponed until our next meeting when more members will be present.

h. Program: See Director’s Report.

8. Old Business

a. Toshiba Contract Extension: The contract has been extended by a year.

b. UHLS Equity Challenge: Rachel Lane will report out at our next meeting.

9. New Business

a. Auditing Firm Development: Will use T.M. Bixbee for this year’s financial review; will seek a new firm to conduct a full audit next year.
