                  SAVE THE DATE: ANNUAL BOOK SALE                                           Saturday, May 6th 8 AM to 5 PM                           Donations accepted from 12 PM Wednesday 5/3 until 5 PM Friday, 5/5) Find your new favorite book, CD or DVD at AFL’s annual book sale. Or find a new home for your old books by donating them to the library! If we can put them into circulation, we will. If not, we’ll sell them to raise money for the library.

Please sign up at the library and cookbooks are available to be checked out.

      FRIDAY, MAY 12 FROM 4 PM TO 6 PM   

After the Altamont Elementary School plant sale, come by the library to decorate a terracotta pot to show the moms and grandmas in your life that you love them! We'll have all the supplies you'll need to make a beautiful and creative gift!

The SongTeller Sessions vol. 5 Featuring Caroline Doctorow                                                                         Friday, May 5th at 7 PM                                                                                                                                        This free, all-ages concert series will delve into the creative process of a different singer-songwriter each month. Our performer this month is renowned Caroline Doctorow, who will certainlyy have some stories to tell.

Springtime Bird Walk with Dan Capuano                                                                                                               Thursday, May 11 at 8 AM                                                                                                                                    Join ornithologist Dan Capuano for a bird watching expedition along Brandle Road. Meet at 8 AM here at the library for a one hour walk around the village to learn about our bird neighbors.

Juice and Jammies Storytime                                                                                                                                       Thursday, May 11 at 7 PM                                                                                                                                          Put your PJ’s on and join Ms. Erika for a pre-bedtime story, snack, and craft! This storytime will be just the thing to prepare your kiddos to count sheep!

Introduction to Essential Oils with Melissa Dover                                                                                               Wednesday, May 17 at 6 PM                                                                                                                                     Learn all about the health benefits of aromatherapy and natural plant oils.

Stories & Stretches Yoga Storytime                                                                                                                            *IN ORSINI PARK IF WEATHER PERMITTING                                                                                                             Saturday, May 20th at 10 AM                                                                                                                                  Join yoga instructor Christine Carpenter for a morning of stretching your body and mind in a fun all-ages storytime. No yoga experience necessary and we will have extra mats for anyone who needs one. Meet in the park and if it is a nice day, and in the library if it is not nice.

Trivia Night                                                                                                                                                                             Thursday, May 25th at 7 PM                                                                                                                                Make a team, study up, and BYOB to this mind-twisting trivia contest! Entrance is $5 and the winning team takes half the door. Contestants must be 21 and up.                                                                                                                                                                 

And as always every Tuesdays at 10:30 there is a Preschooler’s Storytime and every Wednesday at 10:30 there is a Toddler’s Storytime!
