Altamont Circuit Bike Race – Thank You!
A big thank you to all of the volunteers who made this race a great success!Click for event photos!

On September 27th, the streets of Altamont were full not with traffic nor the buzz of bicyclists out for a casual ride, but with riders in the First Annual Altamont Circut Race.
The event was coordinated by Deiter Drake of Anthem sports and Tour of the Battenkill.
The Races
Race distances varied from 12 to 58 miles, and all riders, regardless of skill level, used the same 3.8 mile loop through the village. The citizens race was a good opportunity to try out racing in a beginner friendly environment. Proceeds from the race went to benefit the restoration of the Train Station by the Altamont Free Library.
